Pierces Creek, Lower Cotter
Live music from the wandering minstrels “The Cashews”.
Planting starts 9:30am. BBQ at 12:30pm.
Location
Pierces Creek Forest - head west on Cotter Road, cross the Murrumbidgee and Cotter Rivers, continue past the Cotter Reserve picnic area on Paddys River Road, then follow GA signs to the planting site.
Transport
Car pool or catch the bus! A bus will be leaving from the City West bus terminal on Marcus Clarke Street at 8.30am and from Deeks Forest Park car park (Uriarra Road) at 9am. The bus will leave the planting site at approximately 1pm and return to Deeks Forest car park then Civic. Seats are limited.
What to expect
Undulating terrain, some blackberries and fallen timber. Tools, planting instructions and BBQ lunch will be provided.
What to bring
Hat, gardening gloves, long pants, sturdy shoes, sunscreen, water
bottle (if bringing your own mattock please label it).
