send email from my local ubuntu server?

请问高人怎么设置？
我只想从我的local server 发送邮件，不用接受邮件，怎么设置啊？
postfix? send_mail?

Why do you want to use your local server if you only want to send?
Just use your mail client to send...

因为我要在我的local server 用nagios，让nagios 发送邮件如果有问题

Most Linux dist has sendmail configured to send and receive local emails out of the box. There is really nothing you need to do.
Just create two user accounts. Send email from one user to the other and it should work.

有没有可能让一个local server, 我说的local server是一个虚拟的server,也就是说只有host 这个虚拟server 的机器可见，能不能让这个虚拟的server 发送邮件到正常的email address，而不是local 的Email address?

If your dns is setup right but use default configuration for sendmail/postfix then you should be able to send emails to other domains. SO that's send only.

发邮件啥都不用配置.
只要sendmail服务起来, 而且默认是起来. 只绑定在127.0.0.1 所以你不用担心 能收到邮件.
