Applicants whose occupations are listed as “Not Available” on the State Sponsored Migration List, may be eligible for Sponsorship if they meet ALL of the following criteria:
State Sponsorships for occupations that are listed as “Not Available” are limited to:
* Onshore (visa subclass 886) applicants; AND
* Who are recent international students who studied at a South Australian institution where this study meets the DIAC two year study requirement; AND
* Who meet the IELTS requirements for that occupation; AND
* Who meet the work experience criterion of one out of the last two years work experience in a skilled occupation (with appropriate qualifications), unless the applicant has completed a PhD or Masters by Research program with a South Australian institution and continues to reside in South Australia.
Note that planning levels also apply to occupations listed as “Not Available”.
