pre-grant letter(part 2)
Requirement to depart Australia
Your visas cannot be granted while you are in Australia. All migrating applicants must be outside Australia, at the same time, to enable visa grant.
Applicants, who are currently in Australia, must now provide details of their travel itinerary including the date of departure from Australia, at least a week in advance of their departure. Departure and itinerary details including flight number, destination, date and time should be emailed to aspc.region.5@immi.gov.au
After departure from Australia, please allow at least 3 working days before approaching the Australian overseas mission to have visas evidenced in your passport, to allow time for the electronic transfer of visa data to that mission. Details of the department's overseas missions may be found here: ttp://www.immi.gov.au/contacts/overseas/index.htm
It may then take at least 5 working days for the evidencing process to be finalised, depending on the processing priorities at the overseas mission. If you are unable to go to the Australian overseas mission in person, you should check with the mission for other arrangements.
When you have provided your travel itinerary, you will not hear from the GSM Adelaide office until after the visas have been granted. When approaching the overseas mission, please take a copy of this letter for verification. If travel plans are changed, please advise the GSM Adelaide office immediately.
Passport details
All applicants must provide details of their passport or travel documents before the application can be finalised. Please ensure that your travel documents have an adequate period of validity to allow you to enter Australia. Please note that any visas granted will be linked to the passport information held by this office.
If not already provided, please provide certified copies of the personal particulars pages of all the applicants’ passports, including any amendments such as passport validity extensions.
If any applicant does not currently hold a passport, or needs to extend or renew a passport, please arrange this now and provide copies of relevant pages.
As any visas granted will be linked to the passport information held by this office, please ensure that you have provided current valid passport details before your application is finalised.
Providing Documents
To provide additional documents to the GSM Adelaide office please attach online via link: https://www.ecom.immi.gov.au/vis ... ON&group=travel

In the event of an error with the online link please email the documents as scanned attachments to aspc.region.5@immi.gov.au

Certified copies
Copies of documents must be certified as true copies of the originals. 'Certified copies' are copies of documents authorised, or stamped, as being true copies of the originals, by a person or agency recognised by the law of the country in which they are certified.

Documents in languages other than English should be accompanied by an English translation. If the applicant is onshore, the translation should be undertaken by a translator accredited by the National Accreditation Authority for Translators and Interpreters (NAATI). Failure to do so may significantly affect the processing of your application. Translations provided by non-accredited translators overseas should be endorsed by the translator with their full name, address, telephone number, and details of their qualifications and experience in the language being translated. Please note that, where applicable, the copies of both the original document and the translation must be certified as true copies. |
