Anyone using a Telstra mobile plan?

Signed a mobile plan with Telstra last week, and got a surprise with its first bill.
The guy in the shop told me what I need to pay is $60 per month for 24 months, and I get a iphone 5 32G + 600mins/month national standard calls.

On the first bill, it says I need pay $60 + $840(MRO)/24 -$10(MRO bonus), that is $85/month.

After told the hotline this is more expensive than the one listed on their website, they said MRO should be $600, and they could correct it if I visit the Telstra shop again. This means I have to pay 75$/month, exactly the same price listed on the website.

The guy did not tell me anything about MRO on the day I signed the contract, it makes me very uncomfortable to know that I need pay $15 extra every month.

Any one experienced something similar?

你应该可以退吧.
Telstra的你多缴的是手机的月费,不是话费.

你的是iphone5 32G,怎也不会60这么便宜吧.

Yes I was surprised when they guy told me so, $15 cheaper than the price from their website.

"It's so confusing to me, during my talk with the sales guy:

I: Is there anything cheaper than $60/month?
Sales: Are you sure you want 32G?
I: Yes,
Sales: That's the cheapest.
I: So I need pay $60/month if all my usages are covered by $600 allowance?
Sales: No more to pay.

This means to me if I selects a 16G iphone, then maybe the sales can make it cheaper. If the phone cost is not covered in this $60/month, how can you make it cheaper with a smaller phone?

"No more to pay", how comes the MRO $15/month?

It seems the sales guy was talking about the Every Day Connect plan, while I did not want to know the detail but the whole cost.

Anyway, as the $75 deal is what they normally do, I would not complain the sale guy, not too bad overall."

这个族群为了把东西卖出去，随意的promise，然后拒不兑现

If you had read through the thread on whirlpool, you should have known that I wasn't expecting $60/month when I walked into the shop, but who knows sometimes the shop might offer some better deals to increase sales volume, was it wrong to check if there was anything cheaper?

I am not fan of Telstra, I selected Telstra(for my wife) just because I already had a Telstra number from work. I wanted it cheaper to be more affordable, so I would like to check the smallest/cheapest package they had.

The Kiwi guy had been in Australian/Telstra 2 years.

If you also read it carefully, you might have concluded the same with me that it was just a communication failure. I did not have lots of patience to concentrate over the 40 minutes long /waiting/talking/waiting .... process.

The pricing is so complex that I would say you might be confused too:
Every day connect 60
Every day connect bonus -10
MRO varies
Month of contract varies

Is it a shame to ask for help on a forum?

不能向雷锋看齐，至少得向那个猫妹看齐
