Engineering Subcontractor Manager
The Engineering Subcontractor Manager (ESM) is a member of the Engineering Direction in charge of defining, implementing, and managing all subcontracting activities within the engineering domain.
The ESM report directly to the Engineering Director and participate in the Engineering Committee.
Key responsibilities:
The Engineering Subcontracting Manager is in charge of:
Setup and maintain Thales Australia ATM policy on Engineering services.To challenge and support all Engineering departments in rationalising and optimising their subcontracting activities in the frame of the ATM policy.
To oversee and support the contractual negotiations between Thales Australia ATM and Engineering Department subcontractors, with Purchasing, Legal and Engineering.
To manage the performance metrics of Engineering Department subcontractors(inshore and offshore), putting in place key KPI’s to differentiate the supplier performances and track them effectively.
To manage Purchase Orders and Invoices for Engineering subcontracting activities and support subcontract purchasing within Engineering teams.
To be the Process Owner in Engineering for Subcontracting and coordinate the subcontracting activities with divisional/country purchasing managers.
Key skills and experience:
To be considered for this role Engineering Subcontracting Manager, you will require:
Degree in Engineering or related technical/program/contract management discipline.
At least 2 Years Program Management experience (above 2 million AUD contract value).
At least 2 Years Procurement/Contract Management experience.
At least 4 Years Software Technical Management experience.
Proven leadership of Engineering teams.
Strong negotiation skills – sub-contractors/suppliers.
Ability to cope with pressure.
Ability / wish to travel – mainly within Australia but with some overseas.
