关于190签证申请时的材料是否公证的问题

我现在在申请190签证，但是我不知道是不是所有的材料都需要公证或者认证？比如，护照首页需要certified吗？工作证明需要certified吗？
我看了官网，其实没说一定要certified啊

Do not include original documents unless specifically requested to do so by the department. Documents not in English must be accompanied by accredited English translations.
