刚上官网查看了Perth AMEP课程说明了解到以下信息，和大家分享。
Who is Eligible?
 
You may be eligible to join AMEP if you are a migrant or refugee settling in Australia and have been granted a permanent visa and you speak little or no English.
 
Some migrants with provisional visas may also be eligible, as are some youth between the ages of 15 and 17 years of age.
 
You need to register for the AMEP within six months of arriving in Australia or gaining permanent residence[/color]. You should begin English classes within one year.
 
You can study English with the AMEP for up to 510 hours of English courses for five years from your visa commencement date or the number of hours it takes to reach functional English (whichever comes first).
 
You may be eligible for additional tuition if you have special needs because of difficult pre-migration experiences (for example torture and trauma) or limited schooling.
 
In addition, tuition is available to AMEP clients through the Settlement Language Pathways to Employment and Training (SLPET) program

Child Care
Central can arrange free child care for your children while you attend AMEP classes. Free childcare is only offered for children who are under school age and only during the time you attend class.

正好也在perth，而且也刚刚遇到这个情况，就分享一下，希望能帮到你：
6个月内是指拿到签证后首次登陆的时间，不管什么短登长登（这是你自己分的类，自己想想也是的，对于政府可没法区分）。但是如果你短登没申请，长登的时候再去申请也是可以的，对这种情况会要求你说明一下为何在6个月内没有申请课程，然后会说帮你跟政府申请下是不是延迟你的申请期。一般要2周时间会给你回复的。我个人感觉只要时间不是超过太多，应该问题不大的。希望以上信息能帮助你，供参考。

非常感谢，那我们过去了试一下，我们是去年6月份短登的，这次长登打算4月中过去，我尽量解释，希望可以申请到课。
