If your partner is included in your application you may be awarded points if he or
she:
• is able to satisfy ‘basic requirements’ including age, English language ability, qualifications, nominated occupation, recent skilled work experience or the 2 years full-time study requirement; and
• has obtained a positive skills assessment from the relevant assessing authority for their nominated occupation.
Points are only available if your partner is included in your application as an applicant. Points are not available if your partner is an Australian citizen, permanent resident or Eligible New Zealand citizen.
Age You must be under 50 years of age when you apply.

Nominated occupation SOL1 & 2
Recent work experience at least 12 months in the 24 months immediately before applying.
Skills assessment : must have had your skills assessed as suitable for your occupation by an assessing authority
