people are often asked if all bats "suck" blood, in fact there are no bats "suck" blood. Only 3 species out of 1000 bat species are vampire bats. Vampire does not suck bllood, they make a razor sharp wpound in they prey, then lap blood from the wound...

Didn't know that... Thanks a lot for the info sharing... Lapping or sucking, vampire bats still "drink" blood one way or the other. It sounds like they prefer drinking from a bowl rather than sucking directly. Maybe that means they have better table manners?

Anyway, I'd like to avoid running into the 3/1000 kind. I don't want to be their bowl or any kind of bloody drink provider...
