An Australian owned company who has been established for over 40 years manufacturing and distributing boutique heating equipment worldwide.

There is a need for an Assistant Electrical Production Engineer to join the organisation on a permanent basis and work closely with the Production Manager.

As the understudy to the Production Manager you will be involved with all aspects of the role including:

All aspects of production processes. Planning and scheduling of work. Interpret electrical drawings Work allocation. Estimating, tenders and quotations. Material selection and control. Liaise with suppliers. Supervise all Maintenance and breakdowns. Knowledge of electrical systems relating to production and assembly. Understanding of sheet metal processes  Quality control. Tenders and quotations  Eventually managing a medium size workshop. Eventually streamlining  the business and improve  production processes Factory maintenance. Liaison with Chinese suppliers and distributors Your background will be an Electrical apprenticeship or Electrical Technician.

Hours of work: Monday to Friday 0800 - 1700, Saturday as  and when required. Half hour for lunch
