This is a meeting regarding torts and Negligent Misstatement.

A tort is a civil wrong in common law jurisdiction which causes someone else's loss or injuries.

[In contrast, negligent misstatement must be proven on the balance of probabilities. ] - 这里不对啊，torts 也是要prove on the balance of probabilities.

A relevant case of Negligent Misstatement is Alexander v Cambridge Credit Corporation (1987) in which initially the auditors were found to be negligent, yet they are not negligent due to a recession which broke the chain of causation. initially found to be negligent, 是lower court finding 么？ 可以说 in which the auditors were found to be negligent in the court of xxx. But the High Court overturned the previous decision and found the auditors to be not negligent on the basis that the chain of causation was broken by the recession.

Refer to one legal action in an Australian Court that has been reported in the newspaper. Attached herewith a printed copy for your perusal.  - 这个直接说refer to an Australian case on this issue. Attached is a printed copy for your review.

Lastly, in accordance with the compliance requirements, staff should regularly check the website below to keep updated with the legislation regulating negligent misstatement and small business.

Texters refer to markers/highlighters.
This is Aussie slang (so it is pronounced "tex-tah").

例句
Can you pass me that texter so I can highlight this passage?

I heard this song this morning in my work place and it again brought huge nostalgic feeling to me. I couldn't help humming it along the whole morning. It is such a beautiful song that every time I hear it it always stings my eye. The song is very Bob Dylan but it is actually the most famous song by Billy Joel.

It's nine o'clock on a Saturday
The regular crowd shuffles in
There's an old man sitting next to me
Making love to his tonic and gin

He says, "Son can you play me a memory
I'm not really sure how it goes
But it's sad and it's sweet
And I knew it complete
When I wore a younger man's clothes."

Sing us a song you're the piano man
Sing us a song tonight
Well we're all in the mood for a melody
And you've got us feeling alright

Now John at the bar is a friend of mine
He gets me my drinks for free
And he's quick with a joke or to light up your smoke
But there's someplace that he'd rather be

He says, "Bill, I believe this is killing me."
As a smile ran away from his face
"Well, I'm sure that I could be a movie star
If I could get out of this place."

Now Paul is a real estate novelist
Who never had time for a wife
And he's talking with Davy, who's still in the Navy
And probably will be for life

And the waitress is practicing politics
As the businessmen slowly get stoned
Yes they're sharing a drink they call loneliness
But it's better than drinking alone

Sing us a song you're the piano man
Sing us a song tonight
Well we're all in the mood for a melody
And you've got us feeling alright

It's a pretty good crowd for a Saturday
And the manager gives me a smile
'Cause he knows that it's me they've been coming to see
To forget about life for a while

And the piano it sounds like a carnival
And the microphone smells like a beer
And they sit at the bar and put bread in my jar
And say, "Man what are you doing here?"

Sing us a song you're the piano man
Sing us a song tonight
Well we're all in the mood for a melody
And you've got us feeling alright

Naati

IELTS

I wonder if I was the one lying on the trolley in the ambulance, whether my Harvey would chase the ambulance as this pooch does! But, on the other hand, my heart would be broken if seeing Harvey run through the traffic desperately like this! The first part of the clip was just killing me! Thank-you to the crew members for showing their grace and passion!
