now i am in OZ, but i think maybe i made  mistake, following is my current situation|:

i am  now at Sydney, but i think i made a mistaks , when i arrived OZ, i just go through the custom by trurist channel, not first immigration channel,

my question is , when anyone first landing in OZ, and when  anyone  pass the immigration check point, do you go through the a special channel called "first landing". or you go through with others travelers?

why i have that question is , i apply TXN online, but no response until now.

hi gui1, do you mean TFN? if you applied online, there will be a letter post to you, it may require one week or more.  Be patient and wait. Anyway, you don't need the TFN until you find a job.

Take it easy. There is no special channel.

i think i can not get any money in 2-year window, so i am not sure i need to registe or not

I think you should go back to the custom in the airport and ask them

I think most of people here went through the "first landing" channel when they first landed, so probably no one exactly knows if it's ok you went through the tourist channel.

I think if you can't do that, the customs officer would tell you at that time, if he didn't, I reckon it should be fine.

You also can find a friend who is PR and check if the stamp (pattern) on your passport is the same as his, if yes, I think it should be fine, otherwise, you'd better call or email the customs enquiring about this issue.

When you first arrive to Australia, your passport should be checked by custom. I just remenber when I arrived to Melbourne, there were two channels, one was for Australian, otherone was for no Australian.

The immigration office will get your personal details from Australian custom after you arrive. If you have got a residential  address in Australia, you may receive your TFN in 0ne week after you apply it online. if you haven't got residential address in Au, that's no sure.
