I spent around 6 hours today and replace around 12 capacitor and 4 semiconductors in my 30 inch dell lcd monitor which I spent around nzd 2,200 and I used around 6 years and the dead lcd monitor is working again. The repair material bill cost me around nzd150 which is cheaper compare to if I go out and buy a 30inch lcd monitor again.
I have two working 30 inch dell lcd monitors connect to three desktop computers and I hope both of the lcd monitors can work another 10 years. If it breaks, I will order capacitors and semiconductors again.
I usually like buy new parts for broken computers. But for dell lcd monitors, there is nothing I can buy for the parts except buy a new one.
Do you think a chinese peasant can repair a lcd monitor?
I only repaired two lg 22inch lcd monitors left on the street by neighbour which was not working. I used one connect to a dell laptop which also was left on the street to watch youtube video. The other repaired working one I gave to my friend.
In total I just replace capacitors in three monitors. That is not enough experience to start a business.
I need to save the money to buy a good school zone house. I would not consider buying new lcd monitor anymore. Maybe buy broken lcd monitor at few dollars.
Just in case one washing machine broke, I don't need to visit the store to pay for retail price. I just pay in advance to get discount price. I assume that you have that experience that your washing machine broke and you have to find a discount price immediately.
There was no difference to get more discount on special price either buy one washing or two washing machines. It is very hard to negotiate price on any item in nz shop. Do you have any success story?
