In the circumstances where one of the visa holders is pregnant, the department will generally facilitate entry for all visa holders in breach of the visa condition that imposes an initial entry date(IED), provided you submit evidence of the pregnancy or child birth. However we are unable to proceed any further until the IED date has passed.
Facilitating your entry means that once the IED has passed, the department will issue you with a notice of facilitation that allows you to enter Australia in breach of the IED visa condition. We are unable to issue you with this notice until such time as a breach of the IED visa condition has occurred.
If this office facilitates your entry after the birth of your child, you will be required to apply for a new visa for the child. We are not able to add your new born child to your current visa, as once the final decision has been made on your application, we lawfully can not add any further dependants.
